The “Popperette” is a vintage coin-ioperated popcorn vending machine produced in the mid-1940s through the mid-1950s. This classic machine features a glass display globe on top showing unpopped corn, mechanical coin drops, and comes with original popcorn bags that pull out from the side panel. They have become popular collector’s items and nostalgic decor pieces.

A very novel and innovated item that made instant popcorn, coming just about time WWII was ending. It was used in homes, theatres, markets, etc.

Note: A similar Poperette machine sold at Sotherby’s auctions in February 2013 for $14,950.
