HMS Victory is a 104-gun first rate wooden sailing ship of the line, so classified due to the number of guns it carried. Best known for her role as Admiral Horatio Nelson’s flagship during the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. With 248 years of service as of 2026, she is the world’s oldest naval vessel still in commission.

Considered a pinnacle artform of the ship modeling craft, bone ships made primarily by French prisoners captured and held by the British during the Napoleonic Conflict are among the most collectible maritime artifacts to be identified. These models are in some of the worlds most distingusihed collections.

This very fine model has its original strawork inlaid base, which details include the warrior figurehead, bell tower, two suspended longboats, deck gratings, railings, very fine rigging and precise hull distinction etc.
