4 Inches Length Teeth

Circa 1860

A pair of Early Victorian Ladies in nice dress are featured on the face of two scrimshawed whale teeth set on a carved triple-tiered wood display on gesso-moulded posts. The aged patina is quite fine on both with some polychrome coloration emerging forth, as are the artistic depictions of what appears to possibly be a mother and adult daughter in ruffled, bustled dresses, with both ladies wearing dangling earrings.
